Collect with desktop tools

Install Windows or Mac desktop crawl tools, run larger self-serve collection jobs, and sync results to your MeCrawl account.

Desktop tools are ideal when you want larger self-serve crawls with local control over scope and timing.

Desktop steps

  1. Create or sign in to your MeCrawl account before installing desktop tools.

  2. Download the Windows or Mac build from Downloads (or the crawl-tools product page).

  3. Install the app, sign in, and configure the region, category, or Maps targets you need.

  4. Run the crawl, then confirm listings appear in your dashboard for review and export.

Windows and Mac only?

Current desktop builds target Windows and Mac. Check Downloads for the latest filenames and versions.

Do desktop crawls use the same quota?

Yes. Desktop collection counts toward the same monthly place allowance as the extension and API.
